Going to Germany?
South African passport holders do require a visa to enter Germany.
Depending on the purpose and duration of your stay in Germany you can either apply for a
Schengen visa for short term stays or a
National visa for long term stays (> 90 days).
The German Missions in South Africa have outsourced the application process for Schengen visas to the external service Provider TLScontact.
In principle, all applications for Schengen visas must be handed in at one of the Visa Application Centres of TLScontact (Bloemfontain, Centurion, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth) who will guide you through the application process.
For visa and travel information for citizens of the United Kingdom and their relatives please check the information on the Website of the German Embassy in London.
