Going to Germany?
South African passport holders do require a visa to enter Germany.
The German Missions in South Africa have outsourced the application process for Schengen visas to the external service Provider TLScontact.
In principle, all applications for Schengen visas must be handed in at one of the Visa Application Centres of TLScontact (Bloemfontain, Centurion, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth) who will guide you through the application process.
Current information regarding COVID-related entry regulations can be found here.
For visa and travel information for citizens of the United Kingdom and their relatives please check the information on the Website of the German Embassy in London.
We offer consular services at 5 locations in South Africa and Mauritius. Please contact the German Mission nearest to your holiday destination or nearest to your place of residence.
