The German Embassy in Pretoria and the Pretoria Arts Association have partnered to host the #BreakingDownWalls art competition.
The competition is in celebration of 25 years of South Africa’s democracy, as well as 30 years of freedom in Germany. To mark both occasions, we asked art students from various universities and arts schools to create an artwork based on the theme “breaking down walls”.
Each of the artworks will be exhibited at the Pretoria Arts Association from March 29 to April 10. The winning artwork will also be announced at an award ceremony on March 29.
